Janet, a woman of resilience and faith, grew up as the apple of her father’s eye, sharing his love for music and performing together as a child. Her world was shattered at age six when her parents divorced, leading to years of hardship, hunger, and devastating abuse at the hands of her stepfather. Despite her trauma, she bravely exposed her abuser, entered foster care, and eventually reunited with her biological father.

Her longing for love and belonging led her to a life-changing encounter with Jesus at 17, restoring her confidence and inspiring her to dedicate her life to helping others, particularly abused children. Through her ministry “One Voice,” her book, and public speaking, Janet advocates tirelessly to prevent child abuse, promote healing, and bring hope to the broken. She is a singer, author, missionary, and advocate, working across cultures and especially with the Spanish-speaking community, sharing her story with transparency and passion. Together with her husband Cary, whom she married in 1989, they have raised three sons and are seen as a family that beautifully embodies the Gospel through their love, service, and dedication.
